Kauai ukuleles??????

Anyone know anything about kauai ukes? I cant seem to find much about them anywhere....Theres an electro-acoustic tenor (which is exactly what I want) for sale but not if they are no good, anyone?

I have one of those. It's A Kauai KUC70B Concert size. It's my first uke, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it sounds nice to me. This particular uke was sold to me as a decent starter instrument (not at the very cheap bottom end) . It has a solid cedar top but the back is plastic and looks somewhat like a mini Ovation guitar.

I had a Kauai Concert one with a (I think) spruce top
and a moulded back/sides in a bowl shape. Loud,very
bright and a wonderful thing.I sold it to one of my pals
as my collection (at that time) started to grow!

actually, you could be right, it could be spruce and not cedar... ah well, some sort of softwood tree anyhow. Transpires that the same day I got it, another friend went into the same shop and bought the exact same uke!
