Tuning using a Guitar Tuner

Okay so I have been playing the Guitar for about a year and a while back I bought myself a tuner for it.

It's a chromatic tuner.
I was wondering could I use this tuner to tune a uke? And if so, do I keep it at 440 Hz?
And I'm not even close to a beginner on the uke since I haven't gotten my uke yet.
You're probably thinking "Why ask if you don't have a uke?"
I'm asking ahead of time so that when it comes in the mail I can tune it as soon as possible and start learning/playing.

It should work if it is a chromatic tuner. I bought a cheap guitar tuner that was electronic but not chromatic and it would only recognize EADGBE would not work for my Ukes GCEA and ADF#B. True chromatics recognize all notes. Keep it to 440.

Ahh, okay.
When I turn it on and press mode there's 2 possibilities:
Chromatic Pitch and Chromatic Flat.
What do these mean?

yeah, a chromatic is exactly what you need. I have a regular guitar tuner that came with my first guitar, and I use that (until I buy a chromatic). What I do is I tune G,A,and E, and then tune C by ear using that "My Dog Has Flees" trick. It works well, but I could definitely do it better if I had a chromatic tuner. You're all set to play though.

Not sure if your tuner has it but on my guitar tuner, I have to switch my tuner mode to BASS (for bass guitar I guess).

g-my
c-dog
e-has
a-fleas
you cant tune using this, but if you dont have a tuner, as long as your A string is in tune,
you can match:
open "a" with the 5th fret on the e string.
open "e" with the 4th fret on the c string.
open "c" with the 5th fret on a low "G" string.
or if you dont have a low g, match the 2nd fret on the g string with an open a string

what you can do is tune your E string to the high E on your guitar tuner, from there tune the rest of the strings to that one...

depress the E string at the 5th fret to tune your A string.

depress the C string at the 4th fret to tune it TO your E string.

depress the G string at the 2nd fret to tune it TO your A string.

now go back and check your G string tuning to your guitar tuner's G.

and fine tune from there.

now go back and check your G string tuning to your guitar tuner's G.

So I can start off with my tuner on and tune my G string as if it was a guitar G string?

Did you mean the C string? Because you have already mentioned how to tune the A string.

I'm still kinda confused...
So it's like...
1. Get the G string tuned with my tuner.
2. From there hold on the G string at the 2nd fret and strum an open A string (or C string?) to tune it?
3. Hold on the C string at the 4th fret and strum an open E string and match it to tune it?
4. Then finally hold on the E string at the 5th fret and strum an open A string and match it to tune it?

Sorry, I'm a big-time beginner.

Do I do that or follow what "Kaneohe til the end" said to do?

Main question:
Tune the G or the A with my tuner at 440 Hz?

Oh and, "Ukeguy510", It does not have a Bass mode.
